- Open Reel Ensemble -
The Open Reel Ensemble was formed in 2009 by Ei Wada, together with his fellow students Kimitoshi Sato, Haruka Yoshida, Takumi Namba and Masaru Yoshida.
Their project of combining old open-reel tape recorders with the modern computer into a musical instrument is attracting attention in and out of Japan.
In March 2013, Kaiten - En-Cyclepedia, the group's book, written in the style of an Open Reel Ensemble "users' manual," was released by Gakken Publishing.
