HaaT: Winner of the METROPOLIS
“Game Changers 2015” Award

HaaT's Total Director Makiko Minagawa was awarded the “Game Changers 2015” Award sponsored by design magazine METROPOLIS at an award ceremony in New York.

The annual Game Changers issue and award began in January 2011 (Metropolis's 30th anniversary year), dedicated to showcasing transformational change through the lens of design at all scales. The game changers featured are clear evidence of this change that is local in scope but global in impact, with previous winners such as Mass Design Group, Vishaan Chakrabarti of SHoP Architects, Ruth Finklestein of Columbia Center for Aging to name a few.

Metropolis celebrated the fifth annual class of Game Changers in an award ceremony held at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York, celebrating the 2015 Game Changer award winners Aggregate, Ila Bêka & Louise Lemoine, Liam Casey, Makiko Minagawa, Nasir & Nargis Kassamali, and Water Pore Partnership, with custom award designs by Neal Feay. Makiko Minagawa is the first textile designer to be awarded as a Metropolis Game Changer.
