Concept

From postcards to the walls of buildings, artist Seitaro Kuroda fills various canvases with fun and vibrant colors. For the first time, his works join me ISSEY MIYAKE.
Mr. Kuroda has newly drawn eight pieces of works for me ISSEY MIYAKE. His works depicting owls and other birds adorn the basic STRETCH PLEATS items and socks, while his lovely flower drawings feature on large cotton stoles and bags. By expressing works in their original square shape, umbrellas are created utilizing a square piece of cloth.
The “SEITARO KURODA” series faithfully reproduces the beautiful use of colors, pleasant expressions, and free lines of Mr.Kuroda’s illustrations with the added fun of wearing them.
Please enjoy the functionality and comfort of me ISSEY MIYAKE along with the appeal of the Mr.Kuroda’s works.
