Starting on Friday, November 22th at WHITE CINE QUINTO, Shibuya PARCO, the documentary, PLAYGROUNDS Stories behind HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE will be screening in the cinema for a limited time only.
HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE is a brand that proposes new everyday outfits to men living in the modern age. Issey Miyake started his pleating work in 1988, but the brand was launched in November 2013 as a result of these years of research and development of unique materials, following the commissioning of costumes for the “Aomori University Men’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Team” event in 2013.
In 2019, the brand has found a new stage in Paris. Shows were held on January 17th at the Pompidou Centre and on June 20th in the Place des Vosges. This film documents behind the scenes of the unexpected production performed by young people gathered in Paris, led by director Daniel Ezralow. Do not miss it.
